All new lighting circuits will be protected by a Safety Switch to ensure the safety of your family.

Service and Repairs

When something electrical needs repairing or servicing, you need it done promptly and properly to ensure your safety is not compromised. A loose wire may be live and could easily have dire consequences. Particularly if there’s water around.

We will safely install, service and repair:

  1. Hot water & stove services
  2. Heating and cooling systems
  3. Switchboards and safety switches
  4. Property wiring and powerpoints
  5. Data & communications cabling
  6. Energy saving systems
  7. Internal and external lighting
  8. Programmable control systems
  9. Security systems
  10. Smart wiring (automation) systems
  11. Home Theatre AV installations
  12. Surge protection and smoke detectors

Switchboards and Wiring

Have you checked out your electrical switchboard lately to see if any of the following components are missing from your existing unit?

  1. A Main Isolating Switch with a rating of at least 63Amps

  2. At least two Safety Switches* protecting both the power & lighting circuits

  3. Dedicated Circuit breakers for ovens, air conditioners.

  4. Separate circuit breakers for the power & lighting

(*Since August 2009 home sellers and landlords are required to install a minimum of two safety switches to protect all power points and lighting circuits. This is also mandatory for all new builds)

Many older switchboards, meter panels, main fuses & mains cabling have passed their “use by” date. The cabling gets hot, fuse connections break down, insulation fails and then they start to be just plain dangerous.

If that’s the case in your home or office, you have a built-in hazard or accident waiting to happen.

Updating your power supply solves the problem and represents a smarter and more affordable alternative to re-wiring your home. By installing the correct switchboard, we can help maintain the integrity of your internal wiring, provide added protection against loss of power or lightning, and provide protection against fire and electrocution.

Did You Know that Fuses are No Longer Permitted in New Installations?

Fuses need to be replaced by a circuit breaker switchboard – not just because they’re no longer permitted. They’re dangerous, too. Here’s why:

  1. They may be rewired with the wrong size fuse wire potentially over loading the wiring causing fires, melted wiring & lots of nasty things in your roof.

  2. If a fuse wire is sticking out of the fuse holder, you have an electrical hazard.

  3. When fuses are rewired numerous times they start to get loose in the holder causing a potential hot spot.

  4. Old overloaded fuses get hot and the cable insulation melts away at the rear of the fuse and fires can start as a result.

  5. The fuse holder starts to get loose causing increase in heat & potential fire damage.

Your main earth stake and exponential bond is an integral part of your electrical safety system. If you can’t find a brass rod and a cable attached to your water pipe, you need to have your electrical system inspected.
